Kevin Henning, LMHC
Mental Health Counselor

Kevin Henning is a Mental Health Counselor who earned his Master of Arts from Niagara University. Before entering the mental health field, Kevin served as a New York City police officer. That experience shaped his deep respect for resilience, the impact of stress and trauma, and the importance of compassionate, skilled support during life’s most challenging moments.
Kevin practices from a trauma-informed, person-centered, and holistic perspective. He is trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), somatic-based trauma interventions, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Motivational Interviewing. His work is grounded in Interpersonal Neurobiology and attachment theory, helping clients understand how past experiences influence present thoughts, emotions, and relationships.
Kevin works collaboratively with clients to help individuals and families develop stronger connections, a clearer sense of purpose, and healthier relationship patterns. He has experience working with family systems and couples, recognizing that supporting the whole system often leads to deeper and more lasting growth.
Kevin prioritizes creating a space where people feel comfortable, accepted, and confident they are in good hands. Outside the therapy room, he reflects his belief in both physical and mental wellness by staying active and connected to nature—hiking with his dog, mountain biking, skiing, surfing, rucking, and as a proud member of his local CrossFit community.
