This summer learn the skills of mindfulness at
Gooding Wellness Group & Studio
Join us this summer a group and workshop centered on the skills of mindfulness, stress reduction and mutual supports. This program is an amazing opportunity to learn about the basic skills of mindfulness and how they can help adjust you in everyday life. Over the past few years, science has clearly shown how practicing mindfulness can reduce stress, enhance your ability to deal with illness/pain, decrease depressive symptoms, increase concentration, build emotional resilience and improve your overall physical and mental wellness.
Who is this group/class for? This group is for anyone who has struggled at times with feelings of being overwhelmed with life and responsibilities. We all sometimes experience anxiety and depressive feelings and our goal will be to come together to offer strategies and support while also having a few laughs along the way.
What will we be doing in this group? Our goal will be to learn how bringing our thoughts and awareness back to this present moment can improve your health AND bring joy and relief back to everyday life. Through learning skills of both formal and informal mindful meditation practices, we will learn to accept our thoughts as opposed to fighting them. Some of the topics we will cover will include auto pilot, mind & body connections, stress response system, befriending our breath, mindful movements, mindful eating, and much more.
When will the group meet? The group will Saturday mornings from 9:00 – 10:00 am at the Gooding Wellness Studio at 181 Main Street in Cold Spring Harbor. The Group will be meeting every other week throughout the summer. June 29, July 13, July 27, August 10 & August 24!
The cost will be $30 per session. The group will be limited to 12 participants each week. It is strongly recommended that participants reserve a space through our website to guarantee a spot. Sign up for all 6 sessions for $150! STUDENT DISCOUNTS: $25 per sesseion. (use coupon code "SummerSchool")
