Dr. Monica Pattillo is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who has provided effective and compassionate counseling to individuals, couples, and families for over ten years. Her professional portfolio has included crisis intervention/hospital diversion, case management, parenting education, emotional intelligence, drug and alcohol counseling, and clinical supervision. 

 

Monica has helped clients with a broad range of presenting concerns including infidelity, intimacy, trauma, communication/comprehension, and parental conflict. She has also worked with clients diagnosed with depression, anxiety and substance use. While she enjoys working with all clients, Monica is most passionate about the work she does with couples and families. Her training has equipped her to help couples and families develop and maintain healthy boundaries, facilitate cohesion and communication, promote problem-solving skills, build empathy and reduce conflict. 

 

Monica is committed to forming strong therapeutic relationships that empower couples and families to maximize their strengths as a family unit. She believes that identifying their strengths can assist in developing healthy and practical coping skills which can serve as resources during challenging times. She provides services in response to each family members’ needs and encourages optimal wellness for all members involved in therapy. Monica employs professional techniques from Motivational Interviewing, the Gottman Method, Family Systems Theories, Solution Focused Theory, and a variety of other modalities.
